Formatting Metadata from Triggers

Hi there, I’ve figured out how to easily move metadata from one step to another in a workflow, but the metadata I’m transferring contains brackets and quotation marks (guessing that’s because it’s contained within an array?). I’ve combed through all the documentation, but I can’t figure out how to format the metadata properly for fields where I’m sending the trigger data. Thanks in-advance to anyone who may help!
